How we have entered another holiday season is beyond me let alone a new year! Time is flying way too quickly for my liking and if I scroll through my Instagram page, I can’t believe how much Blake Azalee has grown over the year. And what a year it has been…
My family and I have sought out the best dumplings in Taiwan, dedicated a Sunday entirely to making my own pasta, built a treehouse in the UK, been inspired in Sydney, dressed up at Disney Land in Hong Kong, discovered the wonder of lobster in London and eaten my weight in fried chicken along the way.
But 2016 has also been a time to be grateful for what we have and cut back on the bells and whistles. This year hasn’t been all caviar and fois gras for many of us. Spending time with my family in Sydney this week has been incredible. A Sunday roast dinner or a walk in the park with Blake brings me more happiness than anything. I’m taking this time to stop, look around me, and appreciate all the love and positivity that’s around.
I am really proud of The BIG Group family. Through the down times always comes bright and big possibilities. Our team has worked so hard on driving new and exciting ventures for The Big Group. Thank you to everyone who continuously delivered and saw my visions through to reality.
This holiday season, I want to think bigger and brighter. I want to focus on starting the new year with positivity, optimism and concentrating on the little things that bring us the biggest amounts of happiness. With all that in mind I’m super happy to announce our new Mid Valley Ben’s opening in January in 2017! Come in and check it out in the new year!
BIG Night Out is also gearing up for the silly season in style. I’m already feeling the whisky sours on the 31st followed by the bloody mary’s on the 1st and I gotta say, I’m pretty excited by that (that and a whole lotta sleep). So come and celebrate this festive time with us at BIG. It’s a little something I like to call ‘reaping the rewards through minimal effort’. Between our butchers and wine connoisseurs, we’ve got you covered for any celebration. Take it, use it, own it!
