Masak Masak

food, living

Hey friends!

Question: do you all have hobby’s? I was asked recently what mine were and as I stumbled through what I thought were the right answers, I decided to be honest. “Cooking and then eating what I cook”. Stressed spelt backwards is desserts people! Just saying.

This is why I set up our cooking school, Masak Masak in Ben’s Independent Grocer. Meaning ‘to play cook’ in Malay, I wanted to create a space where we can all really understand a little more about food, have fun and of course – eat. This is something for everyone. Whether it’s a kid’s party or a team building workshop with your colleagues (friendly office competition encouraged of course), come put your MasterChef skills in waiting to the test.

Masak Masak is a lively upbeat atmosphere, super hands-on and whether you want to learn curry laska or parmesan pretzels, our Chefs have got you covered. Coming from Le Cordon Bleu, Mandarin Oriental, Shangri-La or having written cookbooks or run successful food companies, our team are dedicated foodies and will ensure you walk away with kitchen tips and full stomachs.

Our October classes are filling up quickly so get in touch soon to roll up your sleeves and yell “Yes Chef”. Here’s what we have coming up…

Biryani Class: October 1
Green Goodness: October 4
Eastern Breads: October 6
Clean Eating: October 8
Vietnamese Street Food: October 12
Kids time: October 15
Durian feast: Oct 27
Halloween Kids Time: October 29
